"Stress in the Time of Corona" Series - Overcoming Unhealthy Guilt: Gaining Positive Outcomes From Negative Emotions

Session 2 will explore the traumatic scenarios that healthcare professionals are faced with as a result of dealing with the coronavirus, and how the interpretation of these scenarios can lead to the individual experiencing unhealthy levels of guilt and distress. Participants will learn to understand and prevent the dysfunctional coping strategies commonly used to manage feelings of guilt. Alternative positive psychological strategies will be introduced to protect healthcare professionals from mental health decline and help them to manage these difficult feelings more effectively.
