Session 1 will be an Interview with Anita about her personal development path as a nurse, manager, leader and trainer. Her extensive management experience, both operationally and as a part of the Directorate leadership team as Matron for the Surgical Directorate at Oxford University NHS Trust will serve as example to understand the vital role of Matrons in health care. Matrons lead the delivery of high quality care to patients and their relatives across the NHS, but also manage workforce retention and recruitment, staff education and development, compassionate, inclusive leadership and patient safety.
