The presentation outlines common modes of ventilation and how to set up for simple patients. It then discusses the problem of dysnchrony ie when there interaction between the patient and the ventilator becomes uncoordinated, the various types of desynchronise and strategies to solve these issues. Finally there is an overview of a novel ventilator technique that we have been using.
