Dr Forsyth joined Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, as Consultant Geriatrician in 1990 and was Clinical Director of Medicine for the Elderly from 1996–2002.
In 2010 Dr Forsyth set up a specialist delirium ward and was nominated Addenbrooke’s delirium lead. In 2011, the delirium ward team were finalists in the Nursing Times Awards and won the Trust Division of Medicine Excellence Award.
Dr Forsyth is a mentor on the National Parkinson's Academy and runs a nationally respected Parkinson's service in Cambridge.
Dr Forsyth's interests include: Parkinson’s disease, delirium, improving dementia care in the acute hospital, and end of life care.
